History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

 Our History

Cheatham County Funeral Home was established by Johnny and Shirley Jones*, owners, in 1994 and has provided the Community of Cheatham County with the highest level of professional service and comfort.

Johnny Jones is a licensed funeral director. Johnny had always had a passion for customer service and a lifelong dream of caring for people in their time of need.  Cheatham County and the surrounding areas were fortunate when Johnny reacted to his dream.

Johnny and Shirley surveyed the community and created a funeral home:

Convenient to where you live, go to church and conduct business
    Comfortable funeral home
Did not look like a funeral home
A place you could feel at home in your time of need
Most of all where you were taken care of by a friend.

Johnny and Shirley listened to the community and supplied a staff and experience with the highest quality of care and comfort when you need it most.

In April of 2012, Johnny and Shirley’s daughter, Teresa Eads joined the family business with the goal of carrying through her father’s lifelong dream of serving families.
