WILLIE RUTH NICHOLSON, age 84, passed away at Hillcrest HealthCare Center in Ashland City, Tennessee, on December 25, 2017. She was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on July 5, 1933, to the late Finus Earl Wayman and Katherine Simpson Wayman. She worked as a housewife and mother to her children. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gid Nicholson; son, David Michael Nicholson; brothers, Harold Dean Wayman, Johnny Wayman and Roy Wayman; sisters, Maureen Harris and Carmen Rader. She is survived by her son, Steve (Jeana) Nicholson; daughter, Debbie (Darryl) Shearon; sisters, Donna (Sonny) Tomlin, Beverly (Waydell) Williams and Lorene Louallen; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 30th at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 29th from 4pm to 7pm and on Saturday, December 30th from 9am until service hour of 11am.
