Eads, Willie Ray, age 81, passed away on September 30, 2018, at his home in Ashland City,Tennessee. Willie Ray was born on July 8, 1937 in McKinnon, Tennessee, to the late Joseph Marion Eads and Daisy Jewell Rye Eads. Willie was retired from A. O. Smith as a mechanic in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Ashland City United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Grady Eads, J.W. Eads, Juanita Sheppard and Velma Ingram; brother-in-law, Billy Jim Hughes and sister-in-law, Janelle Hughes. Willie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Peggy Sue Hughes Eads; his son, Joey (Patricia) Eads; his daughter, Kim (Carl) Evans; his brother, Robert Earl (Patty) Eads; his sisters, Bettye (James) Davis, Margie (Larry) Patterson, and Carol (Rodney) Lowe; his grandchildren, Kristina (Jake) Godwin, Heather (Eric) Collier, Justin (Kelly) Eads and Georgia Beth Evans; great-grandchildren, Kayelynn Godwin, Aven and Ezra Collier; special friends, Earl and Jane Bradley as well as many friends of the Ashland City Senior Citizens Center. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Binford and Ray Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Will Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 2pm to 8pm and on Wednesday from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
