Wesley Ian Harris, age 68, passed away on December 25th, 2021 at his home of 32 years in Knoxville, TN. Wes was born in Nashville, TN on September 4, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Morene (Wayman) Harris and grandparents, William Charlie and Hattie (Crocker) Harris and Finis Earl and Catherine (Simpson) Wayman, all of Ashland City, TN.

He is survived by sisters, Kim Harris Turner of Clarksville, TN, Lori Harris Hilliard (Louis Crocker) of Pleasant View, TN and Amy Harris of Athens, AL. He is also survived by nieces Jennifer Turner of St Louis, MO, Marybeth (Daniel) Hayes, Jessica Patterson, both of Clarksville, TN, Jaime (Kelly) Troglin of LaVergne, TN, and Abigail (Jared McDonald) Stapler, of Ashland City, TN; nephews, Justin (Vylet) Hilliard of Phoenix, AZ and Evan Stapler of Athens, AL.

Great nieces and nephews include Miranda Fisher and Gavin Fisher, Hunter and Carsyn Hayes, Cleo Patterson, Kaedyn, Gabriel and Elijah Hilliard, and Rowen and Elliott Vacjner. His nieces and nephews provided him a lifetime of joy. He is also survived by many lifelong friends.

Wes attended Hillwood High School in Nashville until halfway through his senior years when his family moved and he graduated from Peru High School in Peru, Indiana in 1971. He graduated from Nashville State Community College. He was a nuclear software engineer and his professional career took him to Europe, South America and all over the United States.

A Remembrance Service to share memories, music and refreshments is being held on Saturday, September 17 from 2-4 PM at the Sycamore Creek Recreation Area at 592 Chapmansboro Rd, Ashland City, TN. Burial of ashes will follow at Felts Cemetery in Ashland City.
