Wayne Jones, age 66, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Wayne was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on December 22, 1958, to the late Thomas Jones and Leona (Puckett) Swafford. Wayne will be remembered by his family as a strong, hard-working jokester. He loved to cause trouble, fish and gamble. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Tony Swafford, Jimmy Swafford, Jeffery Swafford, and Brenda Anderson. He is survived by his ex-wife, Cindy Jones; children, James (Carrissa) Dennis, Angie (Phillip) Hardison, and Kitty (Matt) Jones; grandchildren, Lauren Dennis, Tyler Dennis, Elle Dennis, Jackson Dennis, Ashlin Dennis, Destiny Hovatter, Kerstin Slaven, Kayla McDaniels, Ashley Morfin, Emily Hardison, Alex Hardison, Michael Aulds, and Elizabeth Aulds; and sisters, Darlene Stokes and Vickie (Ronnie) Turner. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21st, from 3pm to 7pm and on Wednesday from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Following the service, Wayne's wishes were to be cremated.
