Wayne Craft, 77, long time resident of Ashland City, TN, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born August 7, 1945, to the late Elsie and Dorris Craft.
Wayne was an avid lover of paperweights, cars, and old western cowboy shows. He always provided for his family by being a dedicated worker, always juggling multiple jobs to include Neuhoff Packing Co., a butcher by trade, Spencer Youth Center, and he remodeled homes with his family. Wayne was an enthusiastic antique collector, he took pride in his appearance, and had an unconditional passion of serving others. He was a family man who was admired and adored for his endless humor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Dorris Craft, and brother, Robert Craft. Wayne's legacy will continue within the hearts of his wife of 59 years, Gail Craft; three children, Stacey Craft, Rowdy (Leanna) Craft, and Stephanie (Chad) Mitchell; his siblings, Linda Davidson, Kenneth Craft, and Steve Craft; his grandchildren, Eric (Ashley) Tinch, Adam (Ana) Tinch, Crystal (Ryan) Maupin, Zachary (Peyton) Craft, Nathan Craft, Brooklyn Craft, Gavin Mitchell, and Gage Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Nolan Tinch, Nora Tinch, Alex Tinch, Caelum Maupin, and Lachlan Maupin.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 10:00am until the hour of service at 12:00pm in the Chapel at Cheatham County Funeral Home with Gordon Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at Krantz Family Cemetery in Joelton, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Tinch, Adam Tinch, Nathan Craft, Zack Craft, Gavin Mitchell, Gage Mitchell, Camden Holder, and Thomas Binkley.
