Obituary

HARRIS, Waydene Grace, age 89, passed away on January 26, 2017, at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida. She was born in Pleasant View, Tennessee, on November 8, 1927, to James Cannon and Nannie Farmer Cannon. Waydene worked and retired as a nurse from Christian Care of Cheatham County as well as Metro Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Edward Harris, Sr.; brothers, Gilbert, William, Earl, and Roy Cannon, as well as 2 infant brothers; and sisters, Rosie, Mertie, Ruby, Thelma, Sue, and one infant sister. She is survived by her son, William "Bill" E. Harris, Jr. (Linda); daughters, Diane Sugden and Ginger Adams (Cindi Steele); brother, Jerry Cannon (Jean); 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 11am with Father Peter Do Quang Chau officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17, 2017, from 3pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 9am until service hour of 11am. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Bell, Manuel Zavada, Adam Harris, and Chris Osborne. Honorary pallbearers are Dawson Bell, Kaden Bell, Ian Zavala and Cace Osborne.
