TOMLIN, Walter Andrew, age 69, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 2, 2016. He was born on November 20, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, to William Andrew Tomlin and Verla Marie Smith Tomlin. He was a retired member of the U.S. Army National Guard of Tennessee and worked as a mechanic for 35 years for Krech Motor Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Andrew and Verla Smith Tomlin and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 50-1/2 years, Debra Bryant Tomlin; daughters, Debbie "Dee' Baggett (Danny) and Lynn Johnson (Randy); many brothers and sisters; three grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Drew Vaughn, and Shelby Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Zoey and Tyler. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 1:30pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Kim McLean officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5th from 11am until 7pm and on Wednesday from 9am until service hour of 1:30pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Wayne Tomlin, Randy Johnson, Danny Baggett, Adam Pewitt, and Jimmy Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Vasser, Roger Dale, Bob Lawrence, Ricky Tomlin, Troy Tomlin, Billy Finch, George Fry, Charles Demar, Mike Brown, Tim Wayman, Buck Wilde and Don Adcock.
