Vania Santana Ferreira Santos, age 62, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Anapolis, Goias- Brazil, to the late Bento Santana Ferreira and Mercidia (Rodriguez) Ferreira.

Vania became a permanent resident of the United States in 2016 and was in the process of getting her United States Citizenship at the time of her death. Although she resided in the United States full time, Vania traveled often between Europe and Brazil, where her sons, grandchildren and relatives reside.
Vânia had a passion for traveling and attending live music concerts. Some of her favorite artists were ABBA, FREDDIE MERCURY, ROBERTO CARLOS and LUKE BRYAN.
Vania's bucket list included visiting the enchanting country of Egypt and she accomplished it in 2019 with her sons, and in-laws.
Vania also had a degree in child education and business administration and aside from teaching, in her early days, Vania helped her late husband Emival Ramos Dos Santos in his manufacturing and retailing shoe business and politics in Brazil.
Vania lived a joyful and full life, always had a smile on her face, and loved and cared for everyone around her.

Vania is preceded in death by her parents, Bento and Mercidia Ferreira; and her husband, Emival Ramos Dos Santos. She is survived by her sons, Cristiano Ramos Dos Santos, Fabiano Ramos Dos Santos, Fabricio Ramos Dos Santos, and Daniel Ramos Dos Santos; brother, Silmo Santana Ferreira; sisters, Nelma Santana Ferreira de Melo and Meire Santana Ferreira; and grandchildren, Thomas Bueno Ramos, Kaylee Badea Ramos Dos Santos.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Father Ben Butler, Pastor Mark McPherson, and Pastor Lidia Wise officiating. A graveside service and burial will follow in TheLand Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be the same day from 11am until the service hour of 1pm.
