Our beloved brother Timothy Hollingsworth was called home on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was the youngest of seven children. He was born on November 12, 1962, to parents Luchion and Mildred Hollingsworth. He has a twin sister, Tammy. Timmy was educated in the Cheatham County School system. He loved to play basketball. After graduating from CCCHS Class of '82, he went to work for the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, for 27 years. He also worked at Vanderbilt for several years. At an early age, he was baptized in Jesus' name under the leadership of the late Hattie M. Young. During his younger years he attended Church of the First Born. Timmy enjoyed watching TV, dogs, cooking, grilling out, and being around family and friends. In his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling to Florida with friends. His favorite football team was Alabama Roll Tide. He had his room decorated with Alabama decor. Timmy was preceded in death by his parents Luchion and Mildred Hollingsworth; brothers Willie Smith and Kevin Hollingsworth; and sister, Frances Young. He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers; Luther Hollingsworth, Pikeville, TN, J.C. Hollingsworth, Nashville, TN, John Hollingworth (Deborah), Clarksville, TN, three sisters; Lillie Buckner (Philip), Pleasant View, TN, Regina & Tammy Hollingsworth, Ashland City, TN; sister-in-law, Edith Smith; wife, Cynthia Hollingsworth, devoted friends, George Newsome and Billy Ray Pentecost. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral service for Timmy will be Friday, April 26, 2024, at 12 noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm and resume on Friday before the service from 10am until service hour of 12 noon.
