Thomas "Tommy" aka Curly Jackson Newman of Ashland City, Tennessee, died on July 12, 2018. He was 59. Tommy was born on October 27, 1958. He was a graduating member of the Cheatham County High School Class of 1976. Tommy was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He retired after 37 years from Triumph Aerostructures. He was the son of Faye Davis and the late Talton Davis of Ashland City, TN; father of Molly (B.J.) Posey and Jenna Newman; brother to Dana (Stanley) Woodall; grandfather to Hunter and Hudson Posey; nephew of special aunt and uncle, Betty and Don Simmons; and uncle to niece and nephew, Emma and Eli Woodall. He is preceded in death by his biological parents; Ernest Jackson Newman and Margaret Velma Pardue Newman. Funeral service for Tommy will be Monday, July 16, 2018, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother John Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 2pm to 7pm and on Monday, July 16th from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Bejma, Randy Thomas, Terry Stewart, Clyde "Rooster" Richardson, Mark Hughes, and Craig Empson.
