Thomas Byron Hunnell, age 66, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 19, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Daniel W. Hunnell, Sr., and Melva (Parker) Hunnell. He worked as a used car sales manager. When he was not working, Thomas loved fishing for bass. He also enjoyed golfing when he was not on the water. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel W. Hunnell, Sr., Melva Hunnell, and stepfather, William "Bill" Hunnell; and sisters, Stella "Katie" Heath (Billy Ray) and Danielle Hunnell. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Sherry (Ross) Hunnell; sons, Chad Hunnell (Ashley) and Chase Hunnell (Kensey); father-in-law, Ernest Ross; brother, Daniel W. Hunnell, Jr. (Peggy); sister, Yvonne Patterson (Tim); grandchildren, Brendan, Clayton, Rhett, and Audrey; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Visitation will be the same day from 12noon until the service hour of 2pm.
