THELMA JEAN WALKER-JACKSON, age 78, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 3, 2017, at The Waters Nursing Home in Ashland City, Tennessee. Thelma was born on October 19, 1938, in Waverly, Tennessee, to the late Dewy Thorne and Loney B. Baker Thorne. Thelma was retired caregiver for Cheatham County Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 36 years, Joe Davis Walker; husband of 11 years, Lawrence E. Jackson; and two brothers, Arthur Lee Thorne and William Douglas Thorne. She is survived by her sons: Allen Wayne (Era) Walker and David F. (Linda) Walker; daughters: Alevia Orr, Cammie R. Walker, and Charlene (Jeff) Schrader; sisters: Sara Voss, Dorothy Burleson, Joyce Ann Blackwell, Wanda Cleveland, Wilma Lewinter and Betty Longmire; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, July 7, 2017, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 6th from 2pm to 7pm and on Friday, July 7th from 9am until service hour of 1pm.
