Sue Helen Leyhew, 96, of Ashland City, Tennessee, departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her home.
She was born in Nashville on December 21, 1929, to the late Clarence Harvel Neese and Edna (Jarrett) Neese. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Frank Leyhew; and sisters, Martha Dugger and Ruth Hall.
She worked at H&R Block as a tax preparer for many years but was known to many as a homemaker who loved her family dearly. She was a member of Joelton Church of Christ.
She leaves behind her son, Frank Timothy Leyhew (Carla); daughter, Linda Creasman (Scott); 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 4pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Jeremy Newland officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 12pm till the service hour of 4pm. Burial will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11am at Joelton Hills Memory Gardens in Joelton, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Creasman, Austin Adcock, Matthew Adcock, and Taylor Leyhew.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
