Shirley Faye Brantley, age 77, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at TriStar Centennial in Nashville, Tennessee. Shirley was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, to the late Robert James Denney and Edna Marie Ford Denney. She owned and worked alongside her late husband Ervin for many years at Brantley's Catfish. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Brantley; brother, Ray Denney; and grandson, Daniel Goostree. She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Wade) Pratt, Betty (Daniel) Moran, and Rhonda Goostree; brothers, Alton (Mari) Denney and Gilbert (Martha) Denney; sister-in-law, Maureen Denney; grandchildren, Elliott, John Daniel, Lakien, Ryan, Jacob, and Jared; and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Grace, and Chase. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, November 20th from 3pm to 7pm and on Saturday, November 21st from 9am until service hour of 11am.
