Shirley G. (Scott) Bracey, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at NHC in Springfield, Tennessee. Shirley was born in Smithland, Kentucky, on March 19, 1943, to the late Erwin Wandalen Scott and Geneva L. Medley Scott. Shirley met and married Malcolm Bracey in 1966 and they made their home in Ashland City, Tennessee, where she had her own upholstery business, Upholstery Designs Unlimited. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malcolm Bracey; and son, Darian Bracey; brothers, Jerry and Sammy Scott; and sisters, Peggy Binkley and Judy Williamson. She is survived by her daughters, Dede Tidwell (Norman) and Denise Anderson (Doug); 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 2pm in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
