Sandra "Sandy" Dee Belcher, 62, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 5, 1963, Sandy dedicated her career to special education as a teacher for Cheatham County Schools before retiring.
Her passion for children was evident, as teaching became both her profession and her favorite pastime. Those who knew Sandy will remember her as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and Granny whose presence will be deeply missed.
Sandy is survived by her mother, Allie Mae (Hedgepath) Crutcher; her husband of 47 years, Donald Belcher; daughters Kayla (Tim) Mueller and Terri "Sissy" (L.J.) McCutcheon; sister Kim (Frankie) Parker; grandchildren Lexi (Isaiah) Hunnell, Haley (Mickey) Crump, Skylar Kinslow, Cierra Manzanares, and Aria Mueller; and great-grandchildren Greyson Hunnell, Landon Hunnell, and Conrad Hunnell. She was preceded in death by her son Donnie Belcher, Jr.; sister Tina Hale; and great-grandchild Tinlee Hunnell.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 1, 2025, at 6pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Chad Hedgepath officiating. Visitation will be Monday before the service from 2pm to 6pm.
