UPCHURCH, Ruby R., age 73, passed away on August 3, 2014, at her home in Ashland City, TN. She was born in Nashville, TN; on November 3, 1940, to Henry Jones and Janie Gray Ham. She was retired from Bordeaux Hospital in Nashville, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Jones; sister, Ethel Burnett; grandchild, Chris Garcia; son-in-laws: Gary Elmore and Richard Farrar; and good friend, Dale Morgan. She is survived by her son, Sam (Laura) Upchurch; daughters, Sue (Bill) Osteen, Jean (Richard) Barrow, Pamela Upchurch, Viola Christine Upchurch, Tammy Ann (Shawn) Frick, and Wanda Charlene Upchurch; sister, Catherine Cason; 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; as well as special friends, Holly Windland, Wyatt Earp, Jeff Hoover, and Mike Creasy. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens in Nashville, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 12noon until 7pm and on Wednesday from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
