RUBY P. PUCKETT, age 86, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at The Waters of Cheatham, LLC, in Ashland City, Tennessee. Ruby was born in Cadiz, Kentucky, on September 5, 1931, to the late James and Janie Grant Hammonds. She was a homemaker to her husband and children. She is preceded in death by her parents: James and Janie Hammonds; husband, Clarence Puckett, and her 15 siblings. She is survived by her five children: David (Denise) Puckett, Jim (Cindy) Puckett, Marty (Stephanie) Puckett, Carolyn (Raymond) Anderson and Judy (Harry) Watts; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother David Price officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14th from 11am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Eric Hawkins, Jason Thornton, Garrett Mayberry, Trent Mayberry, Danny Puckett and Josh Puckett. Honorary pallbearer is grandson, Zachary Puckett. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to The Waters of Cheatham, LLC, c/o the funeral home.
