ROY RICHARD REED, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at his home. Roy was born on January 15, 1947, in Ashland City, Tennessee, to the late Clyde and Ella Johnson Reed. Roy was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the Cheatham County High School Class of 1965 and formerly worked as a cook and dishwasher for the Brentwood Country Club. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deborah Gilbert Reed; three brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by three nephew, Mickey (Carolyn) Reed, Randy Richards, and Donnie Richards; two nieces, Peggy Gibbs and Linda Simmons; step-daughter, Loretta Waynick and two step-grandchildren, April Puckett and Shelby King; and a host of cousins. Funeral service will be Friday, March 8, 2019, at 7pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Tim Felts officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 8th from 11am until service hour of 7pm. Burial will be Saturday, March 9th at 11am in Reed Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
