HATFIELD, Roy L., age 79, passed away on February 12, 2013, in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Annie Brinley Hatfield; first wife, Shirley Curtis Hatfield; brothers, L.C. and Wesley Hatfield and sister, Dorothy Hatfield. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Smith; sons, Billy Ray (Dona) Hatfield and Bobby Wayne (Debbie) Hatfield; daughters, Opal Dale (Mike) Sutton, Tammy Lee (James) Lyle, Diane (Ryan) Paterson, Connie Biggs, and Tammy Johnson; brothers, Bonnie Hatfield and Willie (Alice) Hatfield; sisters, Clara Smart, Sally Owens, and Shirley James; sister-in-law, Libby Carney; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Buck Langley. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12noon until 8pm and on Thursday from 9am until service hour of 1pm.
