In loving memory – Roy Buttrey

Age 81 of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Buttrey was born at home in Fairview, Tennessee, on July 4, 1945, to the late Percy Eugene Buttrey and Sara Christine Estes Buttrey. Survivors include his “sweet, beautiful, loving wife who takes great care of me,” Linda Faye Buttrey; daughters, Melissa and Gail; siblings, Don (Donna) Buttrey, Judy (Kaz) Kaczmarek, Sue (Dennis) Lovett, and Rex (Judy) Buttrey; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2pm in Hermitage Memorial Gardens located at 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee 37138. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 3pm to 6pm, and Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 10am until the service hour of 12noon. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alive Hospice.
