ELDER, Roger Don, age 66, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on October 24, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee, to John Alton Elder, Sr., and Eunice Elizabeth Cantrell Elder. He worked as a hotel manager for the Executive Inn. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, John Alton,Sr., and Eunice Elizabeth Elder and sister, Mary Ann Elder Suell. He is survived by his brother, Alton,Jr., (Mary) Elder and sisters, Gloria (Ernest) Ross, Linda Johnson and Donna (David) Crowell. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 10:30am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Diana DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20th from 2pm to 7pm and on Tuesday from 8:30am until service hour of 10:30am.
