Roderick "Rod" Sweeney, age 48, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his home in Nashville, Tn. Rod was born in Davidson County, Tennessee, on February 12, 1972, to the late Wayne and June Biggs Sweeney. He worked in construction and was a member of the band Tennessee Courage. Rod is preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his children, Ami Copeland. He is survived by his children Jessee and Colbee Sweeney; brothers, Buzz and Jesse Sweeney [Kay McWhorter];1 granddaughter, Coralee Sweeney; and girlfriend, Gina Daniels. A funeral service celebrating Rod's life will be, February 20th, at 7pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home.
