Robert Ryan Lee was born January 9, 1923, in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and passed on March 31, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by wife: Grace Walker Lee, parents: Douglas and Sally Lee, sister: Estelle Woods, brothers: Thurman Lee, Roy Lee, W.T. Lee, Raymond Lee, Ricks Lee, Maurice Lee.

He is survived by: sisters: Elene Butts, Sadie Holt, Tillie Hager, brother: Roger Lee. children, Dick (Nancy) Walker, Janie (Felix) Tejeda, Jim (Teresa) Lee, Gary (Teresa) Lee, Polly (Shaw) Fulton, grandchildren: 11, great grandchildren: 21, lifelong friend and chosen brother Carl Chambliss, and devoted friends and caregivers Dorothy Perry and Faye Ross.

Funeral service for Robert will be Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Clarksville Highway Church of Christ, 5444 Highway 41-A, Joelton, TN, 37080 at 4pm with Brother Greg Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church from 2pm to 4pm. The burial will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 10am in Spring Hill Cemetery where military honors will be performed. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are Carl and Gloria Chambliss.

He was a good man, who loved the Lord, and he was a U.S. Army Veteran. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clarksville Highway Church of Christ c/o Cheatham County Funeral Home, in honor of the church he helped build.
