ROBERT ALLEN DUKE, age 83, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Robert was born in Charlotte, Tennessee, on August 17, 1933, to the late Horace D. and Mamie Primm Duke. After graduating from Charlotte High School in 1952, he was a member of the United States Army. Once returning from his military duties, he was a farmer, logger and most will remember him from the family store business, R.A. Duke Store in Charlotte, Tennessee. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Jimmy Robertson. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Davis Duke; stepsons, Danny (Karen) Robertson and Frank Owen; stepdaughter, Anna Bradley; 4 grandchildren, Dana (John) Austin, Cliff Robertson, April (Shouvik Da) Bradley, and Weston (Jessica Delones) Bradley; and 1 great-grandchild, Dylan Austin. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Bart Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 16th, from 1pm to 7pm and on Wednesday from 10am until service hour of 11am.
