Rita V. Wood, age 100, passed away at her home on November 29, 2019. Rita was born in New York City, New York, on March 30, 1919, to the late John LaCiel and Veronica McTaggart LaCiel. She worked and retired as a billing operator for S.H. Cris. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Veronica LaCiel; husband, Edwin R. Wood; second mother, Agnes Hughes LaCiel; step-brother, Paul Joseph Hughes; half-sister, Phyllis LaCiel Jetter and step-sister, Mary Hughes Gargiulo. She is survived by her sons, Barry John Wood and Mark Joseph Wood; daughter, Wendy Wood; and 6 great-grandchildren. Rita requested no services and was interred in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, Rita requested you say a prayer for her.
