Obituary

Rita Jo Hardin, age 63, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. Rita Jo was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 22, 1957, to Arvin Neil Meadows and Ruth Helen Hensley Perry. Rita Jo worked for Strickland Produce Co. for many years. She is preceded in death by her father, Arvin Neil Meadows; brother, Kenneth Ray Meadows; and sister, Kim Meadows. She is survived by her husband, Mackie Hardin; mother, Ruth Helen Hensley Perry; sons, Brandon Chad Nesbitt (Misty); Roger Dale Nesbitt (Lisa); brothers, Richard Neil Meadows (Shirley Duffer); William Edwin E. Perigo (Laura); Dennis Edwin Perigo (Agnes); sisters, Beverly K. Stewart; Faye Stiddum; Minnie Hall (Junior); Tracy Meadows; Angie Meadows and Patricia Meadows; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and wonderful neighbors. Funeral service will be Monday, December 28, 2020, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home in Ashland City, Tennessee, with Pastor Ev Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, December 27, 2020, from 1pm to 4pm and on Monday, December 28th, from 10am until service hour of 12noon.
