ALEXANDER, Richard P., Jr., age 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Richard was born April 12, 1943, to Richard P. Alexander, Sr., and Mildred D. Woodard Alexander. He worked as a security guard for Bordeaux Long-Term Care. He is preceded in death by his father and wife, June C. Alexander. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Mays Alexander; son, Richard Cody Alexander (Bryanna Petry) and daughter, Regina (Tom) Phillips; grandchildren, Dawlton Phillips and Alexander June (Wes) Young;one great-grandchild, Carter Jayden Young and one furry friend, Cheeto. Funeral service Friday, September 26, 2014, at 11am in the New Life Apostolic Church, 4712 Clarksville Hwy, Nashville, TN 37218 with Rev. Nathan Batson and Rev. Jack Batson officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the church from 1pm to 8pm and on Friday before the service from 9am until service hour of 11am.
