REX EDWIN COLLINS, age 89, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Rex was born in Markleville, Indiana, on December 25, 1926, to the late Ray Collins and Laurene Wilkinson Collins. He was retired from the United States Air Force. Rex is predeceased by his parents and two children, Freda Rogers and Jackie Long. He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Mattox Collins; sons, Brexton Collins and Dan (Ashley) Olds; daughters, Diane Perez and Kim Olds; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Rex will be Saturday, October 15th at 3pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Jon Forrest officiating. Full military honors will be performed before the service. Burial will follow on Monday, October 17th, at 1pm in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Middletown, Indiana.
