She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Ashland City United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Huffman Morse, her parents, David Franklin and Wilsie Hix Shoffner, and a sister, Mary Cathlyn Shoffner. She is survived by her daughters, Kay (David) Morse Huddleston and Jamie S. Morse; sister, Emma Lee (John) Tyree; grandchildren, Leslie (Stephen) Huddleston Franklin, John and Jack Huddleston; great-grandchildren, Kate and Heidi Franklin. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Penny Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Cemetery in Pleasant View, TN. Serving as pallbearers: Clyde Tyree, Bobby Tyree, Phillip Atkinson, David Huddleston, Stephen Huddleston, John Huddleston, Steven Stratton. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Stratton, John Tyree, Coach Ralph Spangler, and Amp Fizer. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 11am until 1pm.
