SPANGLER, "Coach" Ralph G., age 86, beloved coach of Cheatham County High School, Sycamore Junior High, and Clarksville Academy, died April 11, 2013. He was preceded in death by father, Ralph G. Spangler, Sr., mother, Ione Price Spangler, and infant sister. He is survived by special friends, Pat Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, and Chase Mitchell. By Coach's request, graveside service 11am Tuesday, April 16, at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ashland City, TN, with Brother Leon Edwards and Brother David Broome officiating. Active pallbearers: Junior Hunter, Rudy Smith, Steven Stratton, Kip Stratton, Barry Counter, Ernie Tilghman, Billy Best and Jimmy Simpkins. Honorary pallbearers: Frank Stratton, Richard Hewitt, Bob Jackson, Pat Summitt, Corky Albright, Marion Reeks, former coaching friends, athletes and students, and all of those whose lives have been touched by Coach. A special thanks to Christian Care Center for their love and concern for Coach.
