PHILLIP WAYNE DENTON, age 79, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Springfield, TN. Phillip was born in Clarksville, TN, on July 3rd, 1938, to the late Allen Denton and Ruby Denton. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as several siblings. He was a retired excavator. Phillip's family and friends will greatly miss him. He is survived by his wife: May Eloise Binkley Denton; son, Wayne Denton; daughter, April (Jason) Cope; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His funeral service will be on Thursday, April 5th, 2018, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Neptune-Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be Thursday April 5th at 10 am until the service hour of 12noon.
