Paul D. Story, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Ashland City, Tennessee. Paul was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on August 3, 1924, to the late Fernie Story and Nora Reed Story. Paul was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ and retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ben and Elmer Story; and grandson, Paul Wayne "Little Paul" Story, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Christine Ford Story; his children, Pete and Sharon Story, David and Gail Story, Jimmy "Cotton" and Annette Story, Charles "Speck" and Helga Story, Becky and Zeke Dawson and Donna and Robert Hutchison; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Lee Corlew and Michael Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee, with military honors. Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2019, from 11am to 7pm and on Tuesday, April 30th from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
