SIMPSON, Patricia "Pat" Ann, age 61, passed away at her home on Friday, November 4, 2016. Pat was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 22, 1955, to the late Sammy Elam and Sammie Clifford Harding. After graduating high school, she worked as a secretary for American General Insurance as well as Vanderbilt university. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Bill and David Harding and her sister, Marlene Robnett. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, J.D. "David" Simpson; son, John Derrick (Patricia Chay) Hamilton; stepsons, David Christopher (Kris) Simpson, James Ryan (Shanna) Simpson, and Joseph Lee Duke, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Ann (Samantha Hamilton) Hamilton; stepdaughter, Amanda J. (Eric) Teasley; sister, Carol Allen; and 8 grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, November 7, 2016, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Ronald Lee Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 3pm to 7pm and on Monday from 10am until service hour of 12noon.
