RAGAN, Norman Eugene "Gene", age 87, passed away on October 12, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ronald Ragan and Mary Elizabeth Baker Ragan; sons: Norman Eugene Ragan Jr, Norman Eugene Ragan III; siblings: Grace Munn, Edna Jarrell, Kate Proctor, Marie Ness, Ernest Ragan, Tom Ragan, Harper Ragan, and Walter Ragan. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lucille Ragan; children: Norman Eugene (Nina) Ragan, MaryAnne (Matt) Clark, Thomas Austin Ragan, Pauline Elizabeth (Steve) Elliott, and Christine Theresa Ragan; grandchildren: Angela Marie Rhoads, Michael Eugene (Heidi) Richardson, Amanda Michelle Ragan, Matthew Edward (Rebecca) Clark Jr. , Robyn Elizabeth (Jonathan) Weaver, Patricia Anne (Chris Hollis) Clark, Norman Eugene (Jessica England) Ragan III, Kathleen Marie Ragan, Stephen Chance Sweeney, Ronnie C. Eller, and Casey M. Eller; great-grandchildren: Michael Cory Mobley, Joseph Henry Mobley, Shelby Elizabeth Anne Marie Mobley, Britany Lynn Rhoads, Garrett Norman Rhoads, Braylon Thomas Richardson, Ragan Neeley Clark, Norman Vincent Ragan, and Zachary Houston Hollis; and sister, Mary Ida Lovell. He was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired from State Industries. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham County, LLC, in Pleasant View, TN, with full military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Eugene Richardson, Matthew Edward Clark Jr., Ronnie Reginald Rhoads, Garrett Norman Rhoads, Norman Eugene Ragan III, Michael Steven Elliott, and Stephen Chance Sweeney. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014, from 4pm to 7pm, Wednesday, from 11am to 7pm and on Thursday from 9am until service hour of 11am.
