Motie "Marie" Shadowens, age 83, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Ashland City, Tennessee. Marie was born in Smithville, Tennessee, on March 8, 1936, to the late Willie Herbert Puckett and Myrtle Irene Foutch Puckett. She worked and retired from Horace Small as a seamstress. Marie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert "Bubba" Shadowens, Jr.; sons, Randy Michael Taylor, Terry Lynn Shadowens, and Johnny Shadowens; brother, James Donald Puckett; sister, Nina Bain; son-in-law, Howard Biggs; and daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Taylor. She is survived by her children, Larry Taylor, Debra (Howard) Beasley, Linda Biggs, Tony Shadowens, Austin Shadowens, Jennifer Denton, and Pam Shadowens; brother, W.J. Puckett; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Jamie Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, June 10th, from 10am until service hour of 7pm and on Tuesday, June 11th, from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
