MONICA R. ACKERMAN, age 45, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Monica was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 21, 1971, to William "Bill" Morris and Janet Sue Morris Mayo. Monica worked as a pet groomer for the community and will be greatly missed by all who knew her especially her four-legged friends. Monica is preceded in death by her mother, Janet Sue Morris Mayo and her stepfather, Harold Mayo. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Ackerman; father, William "Bill" (Theresa) Morris; daughter, Amber (Daniel) McCaffrey; stepdaughters, Demi and Donnie Kirk; brother, Kenny (Michele) Morris; half-brother, Brad (Betsy) Morris; stepbrothers, Jeff (Rhonda) Mayo and Steven (Jessica) Hale; half-sisters, Alex Morris and Allison (Nick) Jensen; and stepsister, Tammy (Randy) Hester. Funeral service for Monica will be Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Randy Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Community Cemetery in Ashland City, TN.
