Mistey Faye Atherton, age 27, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 13, 1995. She worked at Cheatham Eye Care as a medical tech and a waitress at Sidelines Grill in Ashland City, Tennessee. Mistey is preceded in death by her son, Oakley Bryant; grandmother, Elizabeth Maynard; and uncles, Rockey and Sandey Maynard. She is survived by her fiancé, John Bryant; mother, Windey Christofferson; sisters, Stormey Maynard Barrett (Jason) and Hailey Christofferson (Stephen Hyde); grandmother, Joy Christofferson; uncles, Stoney Maynard and Dustey Maynard; step-father, Robert Christofferson; aunt, Carol (James) Gore; nieces and nephews, Sammey Cannon, Riley Barrett, Greyson Barrett, and Elizabeth Joy Hyde; best friend, Sierra Brown, and many extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be Friday, April 21, 2023, at 6pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Maxie Brawner officiating.
