WOMACK, Mildred Irene, age 90, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015. She was born August 4, 1925, in Akron, Alabama, to Bishop Payne and Nancy Terry Payne. She was a member of the Ashland City United Methodist Church and worked as a librarian in Amarillo, Texas, and a secretary for Dal Tile in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Womack, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Emory Payne, Kitty Dee, Preston, Wallace, Glen Payne, Etoy Seely and Myrtis Holston. She is survived by her children, George Womack and Lois (Larry) Drew; sister, Lucille Kitchens; grandchildren, Autumn, Sara and Sam (Morgan) Womack, and Debra and Clark Drew. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Binford officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Wednesday before the service from 10am until service hour of 12:30pm.
