Matthew "Matt" Baker, age 19, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020. Matt was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 10, 2000, to the late Patricia Jean Baker (Staten) and Ronald Estil Baker, Sr. He worked as a handyman in construction and had a heart of gold, he will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Matt is preceded in death by his parents and niece, Brooke Hyatt. He is survived by his daughter, Mattie Lynn; sisters, Destiny Baker, Jackie Jordan (Gary Elmore), Lori Miller, Alison Hyatt (Danny Baggett), and Ashley (Douglas) Briley; brother, Ronald "Buck" Baker, Jr. and mother of his child, Olivia Bauman. A funeral service celebrating Matt's life will be, March 11th at 12 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Baggett Chapel Cemetery in Cunningham, TN. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, March 10th from 2pm to 7pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until service hour at 12 pm.
