Mary Frances Yates, age 85, died at home after a long illness on November 27, 2019. Mary was born on June 23, 1934, in Ashland City, Tn, to the late Vernon Hamblin, Sr. and Virgie Lee Driver Nash. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Yates; mother, Virgie (CJ) Nash; father, Vernon Hamblin Sr; and her brother, Vernon Hamblin Jr.

Mary was a native Cheatham Countian and a hairdresser in Ashland City for years.
She is survived by her children: Roger Yates, Debbie Yates Cunningham, Lorre (Steve) Jarrell, and Marshall (Daphney) Yates; grandchildren: Nina (Jimmy) Farris, Jason Jarrell, Chad (Ashley) Cunningham, Amy Yates, and James Thomas Yates; great-grandchildren: Ava Sue Farris, Nichole Cunningham, Ayden Trotter, Olivia Cunningham, and Ayla Yates.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Father David Yancheng officiating.

Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tn. Visitation will be Friday, November 29th from 4pm to 7pm and on Saturday, November 30th from 9am until service hour of 11am.
