Mary E. Nicholson, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Signature Health Care of Clarksville. Mary was born on July 14, 1924, in Cheatham County, Tennessee, to the late Elijah Barton and Susie Lyons Barton. She was a faithful Christian and a retired nurse for State Stove. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William B. Nicholson, Sr.; son, W.B. Nicholson, Jr; daughter, Mary Linda Stewart; brothers, Kible Lewis Barton and James Elijah Barton; sisters, Emily Odessa (Tom); brother-in-law, Charles E. Bagwell. She is survived by her son-in-law and faithful caregiver, Garrett Stewart; sister, Betty Bagwell; sister-in-laws, Frances Payne and Evanell Nicholson; grandchildren, Phylesta Nicholson, Phillip Nicholson and Nicholas Stewart; great-grandchildren, LaKisha (Greg) Butler, John Vaughn, LaToya Nicholson and Ataly Stewart; great-great-grandchildren, Kanetta Nicholson and Akira Butler. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Lawrence Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019, from 10am until service hour of 11am.
