Mary Allen Merritt, age 58, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward Allen. She is survived by her mother, Annie Grace Seaborn Allen; daughter, Jamie Manning; brothers, Charles (Barbara) Allen and Leon (Cherie) Allen; sisters, Joann Fields and Patricia (James) Devers; five grandchildren, Kayla and Chadsade Hughes; Hannah and Lauren Ackerman; and Brooke Manning; one great-grandson, Daniel. Funeral service will be Monday, July 9, 2012, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Myles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Petway Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Hempel, Roy Medley, Rooster, Kevin Williams and Jack Speakman. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, July 7, 2012, from 3pm to 8pm; Sunday from 10am to 8pm and on Monday from 9am until funeral hour of 11am.
