Mary Ola Swafford, age 86, of Charlotte, Tennessee, passed away on February 3, 2023, at NHC in Dickson, Tennessee. Mary was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 21, 1936, to the late Richard and Elizabeth (Slay) Frady. She was a butcher alongside her husband at Swafford's Custom Slaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud Swafford; daughter, Pam Creech; brother, Richard Frady; and sisters, Bea King and Nellie King. She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Troy) Young; grandchildren, D.J. Moon and Nicole Moon; and 6 great-grandchildren, Alexia, Ayden, Ava, Anthony, Aniyah and Briella. Funeral service for Mary will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 1pm in the Chapel with Donnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Swafford Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, February 6th from 12noon until 7pm and on Tuesday before the service from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
