FORSYTHE, Mary Alice, age 78, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Skyline Madison Campus Alive Hospice. She was born in Tennessee on May 3, 1938, to the late Wallace Thompson and Lorene Harper Thompson. She worked as a homemaker, wife, and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Slayton Forsythe; son, Tommy Forsythe; daughter, Edna Craft; daughter, Darlene Baxley; brother, Richard Thompson; granddaughter, Lisa Phillips; and grandson, Brandon Forsythe. She is survived by her daughters, Loretta (Sammy) Harrington and Debra (Ralph "Bo") Peek; sons, Slayton (Margie) Forsythe, Jr., Wally (Melody) Forsythe, Ricky Dale Forsythe, Terry Forsythe, and Terry Medley; brothers, Joe Thompson, Bill (Betty) Thompson, John Thompson, and Paul Thompson; sisters, Ruth (G.C.) Jenkins, Linda Colley, Joyce Sanders, and Nancy (David) Tubb; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery in Dickson County, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 1pm to 7pm and on Wednesday, December 14th from 9am until funeral hour of 11am.
