MARY W. FARRIS, age 100, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Hillcrest HealthCare Center in Ashland City, Tennessee. Mary was born in the Manila, Philippines, on November 29, 1917, to the late James Miles Webb and Ida Louise Napier Webb. She was a housewife and retired secretary for the National Council Boy Scouts of America. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar A. Farris; son, Edgar James Farris; and sisters, Sara Jane MacKerricker and Margaret Grayeb. She is survived by her daughters: Carolyn (John) Knaus of Pegram, TN, and Margaret Carpenter of Citrus Heights, CA; granddaughter, Sierra Knaus of Ashland City, TN; step-granddaughters, Tiffany Burrus of Ashland City, TN, and Michelle Knaus of Pegram, TN; and great-grandchildren, Bryan Ham, Jonathan Burrus and Gabriel Burrus. A Celebration of Life will be at Park Manor, 115 Woodmont Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37205, at 2pm on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
