Martha Lee (Bottoms) Edwards, age 83, of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, on December 3, 1940, to the late Roy Clifford Bottoms and Mary Louise (Hewitt) Downey. She was a member of Whites Creek Nazarene Church. Martha was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Clifford Bottoms and Mary Louise (Hewitt) Downey; brother, Joe Charles Bottoms; step-brother, R.C. Bottoms; grandson, Bradley Eugene Pigg; and nephew, Kenny Bottoms. She is survived by her son, Roy Pigg (Sherry); daughters, Rita Cobler (John "Mac"), Beverly Pigg, and Lee Ann Spencer (Allen); nephew, Keith Bottoms; great nephew, Kenny Bottoms, Jr.; grandchildren, Latasha Howell (Michael), Bronson Herity (Chasity), Blake Herity (Amanda), Meagan Midgett (Dustin), Jamie Pigg (Lee Russell), Reece Spencer (Leslie), Daniel Bibby (Rachel), and Victoria Spencer (Hunter Bastin); and 20 great grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, April Mannen. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Bernie Deffinger. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Community Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 3pm to 7pm and Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 10am until the service hour of 1pm.
