Lucile Harris Bracey, age 100 went to be with the Lord on August 23rd, 2016. Lucile was born May 3, 1916 in Cheatham County, TN. She was the 6th of 10 children. She attended Cheatham County High School then moved to Nashville. She married Earl Bracey in 1939. Her daughter Judy was born in 1942, her son Tommy was born in 1947 and Dale came along in 1955.
Lucile had a servant's heart working in her church, community and extended family. She was lovingly referred to by family as Tookie and each grandchild had their own nickname for her. Mike the oldest called her Nana, Shea called her Nina and Katy called her Ninnie.
She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She made an impression on all she met even when communication was difficult for her.
Funeral service will be Thursday, August 25, 2016, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Jacquie Sojourner officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
Those who knew and loved her celebrate Lucile's departure from this earth knowing she is now in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ.
