Lonnie Glenn Murphy, age 65, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 18, 1958. He worked as a laborer for Capital Security for 17 years. Lonnie is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle (Anderson) Murphy; and grandchild, Zoe Biggs. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Smith) Murphy; son, Mikie Murphy (Kelsie); daughters, Kristie Murphy and Angela Murphy (Rocky Harrell); brother, Carlos Murphy; sister, Jeannie Murphy; grandchildren, Mark Proctor (Autumn), Kalee Harrell (Michael), Bentley Murphy; and Paisleigh Murphy; and great grandchildren, Lincoln Proctor, Whitley Harrell, and Salem Proctor. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 4pm-8pm, and Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 10am until the service hour of 12noon. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Goodfred, Frank Smith, Randall Smith, Mark Proctor, Frankie Berry, Darrell Berry, Rocky Harrell, and J. T. Anderson.
